Purchased a Siemens E193 “DAI-East” electric locomotive

LocoItalia has signed a contract to purchase a Siemens Vectron E193 “DAI-East” electric locomotive worth approximately €5 million.

With this interoperable Vectron—which has the unique feature of being able to operate on the electrified networks of Italy, Austria, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Czechoslovakia, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia—the number of electric locomotives in our fleet rises to eight.

The contract brings the total investments made by the Company in just over six years of activity to over €35 million.
